The countryside around Brossac is criss-crossed with many pathways including the GR36 ‘Grand Randonnees’ classification of France, (running from Ouistreham on the Channel Coast to the Pyrenees), so with this and various other routes you can join these gentle and inquisitive animals for a memorable experience, leaving us feeling uplifted and refreshed to rejoin the outside world.

Les Lamas de Brossac provide the opportunity for people to experience the joy of llama trekking* on a one to one basis, with these friendly, wonderful and therapeutic animals. At the same time you can benefit from gentle exercise and enjoy the countryside. With intimate groups up to a maximum of 12, the trek will be friendly, informative and relaxing. We offer a range of different activities.

Highlights of your Llama trekking day

The unique features of your llama trekking day with us will include your opportunity to interact with your designated llama. The llamas will share with you some of their skills, like their incredible eyesight and hearing. This means they will be alerted to other animals in the woods long before you, giving you advance warning of wild animals sightings, like wild boar or deer, that you otherwise would not have seen; they will delight you with their individual character.

After your excursions we hope you will enjoy a ‘Menu du Jour’ lubricated with fine local wines.

* Unfortunately even a mature llama can only carry between 20 – 40kgs on it’s back, so for those people who think llama trekking is like pony trekking – sorry, you will have to walk! Age & height restrictions apply (9 years old, 1.20m height).
